Potential for harm/health risks

The potential risk of harm is high because of the health risks that are evident in TNT. TNT is poisonous and skin contact can cause the skin to irritate. During the first world war, this was occuring to the munition workers and they were experiencing bright yellow like dye on their skin. If in contact with TNT for a long period of time, anemia and unusual live funtions might occur. TNT emits radiation which is a carcinogen that can cause cancer. Other health risks may occur including blood and liver effects and spleen enlargement. On the left is harmful TNT shells which emits alot of radiation.
Storage/disposal for TNT
The storage for TNT has great enviornmental impacts because of its location. TNT is located and stored in rural areas where production and harvesting crops is performed. Gallons of liquid TNT stored in a rural area emits radiation which is bad for the environment and the wildlife. The disposal of TNT is essentially located in the lakes and rivers individuals drink water from. Tons of residual TNT is dumped in clean water every month which contaminates the environment.
Environmental impacts of TNT
The immense destruction and demolition of TNT makes it the most widely used explosive.
The residual TNT after the explosion can partition between several envronmental factors including the shortage of water and less soil. The contamination is due to the high concentration of TNT, which makes production go down and the demand increases. The disposal of TNT contaminates the water and aquatic ecosystems which cause eutrophication and can kill aquatic animals.
